This exhibition was superb. There are items in the collection by Andy Warhol that will potentially never be seen in Australia again and the Ai Weiwei works were amazing. One of my favourite pieces was the wall paper of a bird inside of handcuffs and security cameras which illustrates that you should look beyond what appears to be beautiful. His political message and criticism of the Chinese governments stance and human rights is conveyed throughout his entire collection. I recommend before you go to learn a bit about Ai Weiwei in order to better understand his art and also read up on the story behind the lego installation here (defiantly worth a read). http://aiweiwei.com

  1. How awesome that you actually got to see Ai Weiwei’s work. I like that you flipped off the famous pictures, I feel like the Ai Weiwei would have actually appreciated that.
