Melbourne Spring Fashion Week

I attended the opening night gala of Melbourne Spring Fashion Week. We arrived slightly early so had a photo in the stand alone tent across the road from Melbourne Town Hall and checked out all the popups i.e. main sponsors of MSFW. From there we wandered into the Town Hall through all the beautiful wattle, that was used as decoration both in the foyer and the catwalk. After we arrived, Mum and I wandered into the bar where there was live music and waited until it was time to head to our seats.

The designers featured in the show were CHRISTAHLEA, Bianca Spender, Carla Zampatti, Thurley, JASON GRECH, Rachel Gilbert, Gwendolynne, Aurelio Costarello and OneDay Seeing the designs for the coming season is always interesting but this runway was exceptional and it reignited my love for A few brands that I felt had somewhat wained in innovation of the last few years. Special mention to Rachel Gilbert, they hit the bardot style trend right on and paired it with large retro spots which will be great for the Spring Racing Carnival.
